Classic Cupar was the first of several projects envisaged as part of the town’s Interpretative Plan, published by Cupar Development Trust in 2017. A Fife LEADER grant, matched by Fife Council, allowed the recruitment of two members of staff who were appointed to provide the capacity to support the development and delivery of the project.

Classic Cupar Causerie

“ causerie”, a short piece of writing in conversational style

Our Classic Cupar Causerie will provide space to keep you informed about our activities, and as Classic Cupar progresses, we will inform, engage and intrigue with aspects of the town’s past and present.

History and heritage does not stand still, but our understanding of our sense of place moves on as fresh information is revealed.

We hope that Classic Cupar Causerie will become an online forum for the sharing and exchange of views on our town’s past.

Volunteering Overview

A key part of “Cupars Sense of Place” will be the recruitment and training of new volunteers to help research and pull together information on the classic views of old – and indeed present day – Cupar.

Cupar Heritage now manages Classic Cupar Volunteers. Anyone with some interest is welcome.
